Split a PDF into Separate Pages or Sections
See every page as a thumbnail, tap the ones you need, or type a range - all processed locally in your browser. Useful for separating chapters, extracting invoices, or breaking up a large scan into manageable parts.
How it works
- Choose your PDF in the upload area (drag-and-drop or browse).
- Review the scrollable page preview. Pick "Split each page" for one PDF per page, or "Pick pages" to tap thumbnails (or enter ranges like 1-3, 5) for a single merged extract.
- Download each part, or when there are multiple parts, use the ZIP link to grab everything at once.
Tips for best results
- In Pick pages mode, use Select all or Clear for quick changes; the range field stays in sync with your taps.
- To extract one page only, tap that thumbnail or enter "3-3" for page 3.
- After splitting, use our Merge PDF tool if you need to recombine a subset of the pages.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I split by page ranges?
- Yes - enter ranges such as "1-5, 10, 12-14". Those pages are merged into one new PDF in that order. Use "Split each page" if you want every page as its own file.
- Is the original PDF affected?
- No - your original file is not modified. Split files are new documents.
- How many pages can I split at once?
- No page limit - you can split PDFs of any length.
