Extract PDF Tables into an Excel Spreadsheet
PDF Win parses the structure of your PDF page by page, identifies table rows and columns, and writes them into an editable .xlsx spreadsheet. Works best with PDFs that were originally exported from Excel or a structured database report.
How it works
- Upload your PDF file.
- Click Convert to Excel.
- Download the .xlsx file and open it in Excel, Google Sheets, or LibreOffice Calc.
Tips for best results
- PDFs from Excel, accounting software, or data exports give the cleanest results.
- Scanned spreadsheet printouts (images) cannot be converted - you need OCR first.
- After conversion, use Excel's "Text to Columns" feature to clean up any cells that merged on import.
- Formulas are not stored in PDFs - you will get the computed values only.
Frequently asked questions
- Will merged cells work correctly?
- Merged cells are partially supported. Complex merges may need manual adjustment after conversion.
- Are charts included?
- Charts embedded as images are placed in the sheet as images. Chart data is not re-extracted.
- What is the file size limit?
- Up to 64 MB per upload.
