Sign a PDF Online - Draw, Type, or Upload
Add a handwritten-style signature to any PDF without installing software. Draw with your mouse or finger, type your name in a script font, or upload a PNG/JPG of your signature. Place it on the page, resize it, copy it to every page, and download. Everything runs in your browser — the file is not uploaded to our servers.
How it works
- Open a PDF from the drop area, or paste with Ctrl+V (⌘V on Mac).
- Create a signature: Draw on the pad, Type your name, or Upload an image. White backgrounds on photos are removed automatically.
- Click the page to place it. Drag to move, use the corner handles to resize. Optional: tick Also place today’s date.
- Use Copy to all pages if every page needs the same signature, then Download signed PDF.
Tips for best results
- On a phone, draw with your finger — it is often cleaner than a mouse.
- A PNG of a signature on white paper works well; this tool knocks out the white so only the ink remains.
- This is a visual signature stamped onto the PDF. It is not a certificate-based electronic signature (DocuSign / Adobe Sign).
- Password-protected PDFs need the password removed first.
Frequently asked questions
- Is this a legally binding e-signature?
- It places your signature image on the PDF, which many everyday forms accept. It does not create a certified, audited e-sign like DocuSign. For contracts that require that, use a dedicated e-sign service.
- Is my PDF uploaded?
- No. Signing runs in your browser with PDF.js and pdf-lib. The file stays on your device.
- Can I sign more than once?
- Yes. Place as many stamps as you need, on any page. Copy one stamp to every page with one click.
- Can I sign on my phone?
- Yes. Draw with your finger, then tap the page to place the signature.
