Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the website pdfwin.com and the tools offered under the PDF Win brand (“Service”). By visiting or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.
The service
PDF Win provides online utilities to convert, merge, split, compress, and otherwise work with documents — primarily PDFs and related formats. Features may include browser-based processing, server-side processing, or optional connections to third-party services.
Tool availability, limits (such as file size), and processing methods may change. We may modify or discontinue features with or without notice.
Accounts
Most tools do not require you to create an account. If you choose to connect third-party services (for example Google Drive), your use of those features is also governed by the provider’s terms and privacy policies.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes or upload content that violates applicable law.
- Attempt to probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities without authorization, or bypass security measures.
- Introduce malware, excessive automated traffic, or activity that impairs performance.
- Reverse engineer or scrape the Service in ways that violate these Terms or applicable law.
- Misrepresent affiliation with PDF Win or pdfwin.com.
We may suspend or block access when we reasonably believe these rules are violated.
Your content & license
You retain rights to files you upload. To operate the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content solely to provide the requested conversion or tool output.
You represent that you have the rights necessary to upload and process your files and that doing so does not infringe others’ rights.
Third-party services
The Service may link to or integrate third-party sites or APIs (including advertising and analytics). Those services have their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party content or practices.
Advertising
The Service may display advertisements. Ad providers may collect information as described in our Privacy Policy and their own policies.
Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
We do not guarantee that outputs will be error-free, identical to source formatting in every case, suitable for legal or regulated workflows, or uninterrupted. Always review results before relying on them.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PDF Win and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption arising from your use of the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us to use the Service in the twelve (12) months before the claim or (b) zero (USD), since core tools are offered without charge.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, limitations apply only to the extent permitted.
Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify PDF Win and its operators against claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitations, indemnity) will survive termination.
Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by applicable law without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in some jurisdictions may have mandatory consumer protections that cannot be waived — nothing here limits those rights.
Changes
We may update these Terms. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
